Mixed breed racing night and I have 28 running which is a heck of a lot for me. So many are due for a race that I felt I had to put them in or give them a work out. Between a race and a workout I'll usually always choose the race. Purses are still pretty poor for the mixers.
Carry Me - 3-year-old Appy filly - Fairly consistent but unspectacular filly running in a 10K NW2, seven horse field, she might get up for a check. 1 59
Colors of the Day - 3-year-old Paint filly - CAH - This is her first start, running in a 125K Grade 3 stakes, four horse field. The worse she can do is fourth. 3 61
Colour of Love - 5-year-old Paint gelding - Recently gelded, he's only ever run at 870 so I'm trying him at a sprint tonight to see how he does. Running in a sponsored 25K NW2, ten horse field. I doubt he'll do well at this new distance. 4 63
Combat Rock - 6-year-old Arabian horse - Running him back a little sooner than I would have liked but races for older horses dwindle as the year goes on. He vetted at not even a little bit tired so he should run without injury anyway. He's running in a 50K listed stakes with a full field, at least one in the field has beaten him before. This will be a tough race, I'm hoping he gets up for a least something but not feeling that confident. I'm taking a chance and adding a tongue tie for tonights race as he seems to always drop out a bit in the final furlong. 9 66
Dream Eater - 5-year-old Arabian mare - CAH - Not a very good racer but definitely due for a race. Running in a 10K NW3, seven horse field, No expectations here. 4 57
Dusty Digger - 4-year-old Appy gelding - Unimpressive racer running in a 5K sponsored restricted claimer with a 10K purse, four horse field. He'll probably be lucky to come in fourth. 3 46
Emotions in Motion - 3-year-old trot filly - A winged one that hasn't impressed. Running in a 12K MSW, five horse field. No idea. 3 51
Faiza - 7-year-old Arabian mare - I sponsored a 100K listed stakes for her at a new distance, eight horse field. I'm hoping she likes the shorter distance as well as the long. There are definitely some to challenge her in here, she's the oldest in the field besides. 2 73
Flash of Fire - 3-year-old trot colt - He should be better than he has shown, racing in a 100K listed stakes, five horse field, two are monsters. 3 65
Fuel to the Fire - 4-year-old Arabian gelding - Second start for me, running in a 10K MSW, three horse field, new distance for him. 1 53
Happy Days Again - 3-year-old trot filly - Running in a 25K NW2, eleven horse field, probably over her head but she needed a race. 3 62
Hotter Than Mojave - 3-year-old Appy colt - Running in a 55K listed stakes, six horse field, He has a chance to get a check. 1 65
I Like to Jog - 6-year-old trot gelding - Fairly consistent older trotter running in a 15K NW5, nine horse field, He has a slim chance of bringing home a check but I'm not counting on it. 6 59
I Play Rough - 2-year-old QH filly - First start for this gift filly running in a 12K MSW, six horse field with mostly first time starters. 3 59
Jada - 5-year-old Arabian mare - CAH - Still a maiden after nine starts, running tonight in a 50K listed stakes, originally as a filler but others entered and I decided to let her run since she needs a race. Seven horse field. 6 58
Just Another Smile - 4-year-old Pace filly - CAH - My only racing pacer running in a 12K NW2, nine horse field. 8 55
Justin Credible - 3-year-old QH gelding - I sponsored a 100K restricted listed stakes for him for no real reason except there wasn't anything else that really suited him. I originally bought him for 5K off the sales page when his original owner gave up on him without trying him at all of the distances. He's done pretty well for me, winning three times. This is a small three horse field and everyone should go home happy. 2 61
Kasida - 6-year-old Arabian mare - Consistent old girl that I was going to retire last year but decided to give her another year of racing. Running in a 10K allowance, six horse field, she's the oldest in the field but still has a chance to earn something. 1 68
Mayday - 3-year-old Appy filly - Bought to be a filler and fills that role pretty well. Running in a 10K MSW, five horse field. 3 49
Mooby - 4-year-old Appy gelding - Another filler running in a 10K MSW, five horse field, probably not breaking his maiden tonight. 3 50
Nitey - 4-year-old Appy gelding - Second start for me, did better than expected the first time I ran him breaking his maiden with a 66 SF. Tonight he's in a 50K listed stakes, eleven horse field, no idea if he'll have a strong showing or not. 8 62
Oxiclean - 4-year-old Appy gelding - Broke his maiden last out, usually used as a filler but he needed a race and so he's running in a 10K allowance with a full field. Not expecting much out of him here. 11 55
Quickerthanfire - 3-year-old QH gelding - Filler running in a 25K sponsored allowance, four horse field. 4 39
Sir Prize - 4-year-old Paint gelding - Fairly consistent, usually a filler, running in a 25K sponsored NW3, four horse field. 3 58
Spirit Road - 4-year-old Appy colt - Running in a 50K listed stakes over a muddy track with a full field. There really was nowhere else to put him and he needed the race. Not really expecting much here. 6 66
Treasure Ransom - 3-year-old Paint gelding - Five starts and still a maiden, running in a sponsored allowance, three horse field, not expecting him to break his maiden tonight. 3 36
Watson's Folly - 2-year-old QH filly - Gift filly running for the first time in a 12K MSW, ten horse field. 9 47
Zhentico - 4-year-old Appy gelding - First start for me, running in a 10K allowance with a full field at a new distance. No idea but not expecting anything. 10 50
