Mixed breed racing night. 21 running.

Amir - 4-year-old Arabian colt - Fairly consistent long router, running in an allowance race tonight with a full field. There's a couple with better earnings, hoping he gets up in the end and earns a check. Trying him with blinkers for the first time to see if it might help him to finally break into the 70's with his speed figures. Of course, that could back fire. 2 69

As'ad - 6-year-old Arabian horse - Just bought this guy for 3K, he hasn't raced since week 2 and he has no works and has never raced at a long route, only raced four times as it is. So I have him in a MSW long route. I did gallop him and Mary says he runs like he has wings so I'm hoping he really does and hoping he likes the added distance. 1 72

Big Boss - 3-year-old trotter gelding - Not very quick, this guy, entered him in a sponsored allowance, eight horse field. I doubt he'll finish in the top five. 6 53

Cartecay - 2-year-old Appy gelding - Recent 1K purchase, not a very impressive horse but will make a decent filler. Running in a MSW with three others. 4 50

Cuts Like A Knife - 3-year-old QH colt - I sponsored a small stakes for him, I have no idea what distance he actually likes. Four other horses in the field, he might win, he might not. Depends on how he's feeling today, I guess. 3 63

Double Change - 3-year-old Arabian colt - Another recent purchase that I paid 5K for. Doesn't have very good works, I'll probably be gelding him after this race or the next one. He's running in a MSW with four others. He's never run at a sprint and I may try that next time. Tonight it's a short route because the field was small. 1 43

Emotions in Motion - 2-year-old trotter filly - Second start, her works were okay but she only managed a 50 speed figure and a sixth place finish in her first outing. Tonight she's in a 50K stakes with four others - all winners. 5 51

Faiza - 6-year-old Arabian mare - Yet another recent purchase (2K), This is her first race of this year, has no works and has never run at a long route, only raced four times. Galloped and got the wings comment. Trying her in a MSW at a long route, eleven horse field, hope she likes the distance. 1 72

Flash of Fire - 2-year-old trotter colt - Second start, won first out by almost 3 lengths and a 65 speed figure. Tonight he's in a 50K stakes with four others, three are winners. 2 66

Happy Days Again - 2-year-old trotter filly - Second start, finished fourth first time out with a 59 speed figure. Tonight she's in a 100K stakes with five others, only two are winners and look good. I'll be surprised if she gets a check out of this. 5 60

I Like to Jog - 5-year-old trotter gelding - A nice horse but not terribly fast. He's running in a 50K stakes simply because I had nowhere else to put him. It's a full field, I'm not expecting him to be in the mix at the end. 6 64

Just Another Smile - 3-year-old pacer filly - Recently created just to have a horse in this race. Didn't work or gallop her so I have no idea if she's any good. She's running in a 250K stakes with four others, all multiple winners. She should pick up a decent check for a fifth place finish. 5 53

Malika Badiya - 4-year-old Arabian filly - Running in a 25K claimer with three others. 4 50

Marengo - 3-year-old Arabian colt - Consistent, never finished worse than second, doesn't have very good speed figures though. Tonight he's in a 75K stakes with five others. There's at least one monster in the field, but he should be in the mix at the end. Trying blinkers for the first time, hope they don't hurt him. 5 60

Mayday - 2-year-old Appy filly - Second start for me, trying her at a longer distance though she doesn't have very good works, in general. She's in a MSW with four others. 5 45

Money and Music - 2-year-old trotter colt - Second start, 68 speed figure in his first start, tonight he's in a 100K stakes with four others, a few with better speed figures. I hope he improves in this start. 4 65

Rare Lil Maverick - 3-year-old Paint filly - This is her second start for me, not a very quick girl, she's in a MSW, seven horse field, if I'm lucky she comes in fifth. 4 57

Sir Prize - 3-year-old Paint gelding - Not real speedy but he's done better than I ever thought he would. He's running in a 100K stakes with five others. Don't know if he'll be able to get up for a check but it'll be nice if he does. 3 58

Speak for Yourself - 4-year-old trotter filly - CAH, Two starts, two wins but they were both easy races with very small fields. This is her first race challenge, a 50K stakes with a nine horse field. I'll be surprised if she makes it to the top five. 8 58

Spirit Road - 3-year-old Appy colt - Fairly consistent colt, only has one off the board finish out of six starts. Tonight he's in a 90K stakes race, six horse field. There's at least two that look better. 4 61

White Hot Star - 4-year-old QH filly - CAH, second start, trying her at a shorter distance, MSW, eight horse field. 2 60
