I finally got over the 3 million mark for race earnings for the year, 200K more than I've ever earned in a year of SIM racing.
I now have only 8 more TB broodmares to breed and 12 mixed breeds. With the end of the year approaching I've been trying to go through my stable to see who to keep and who to let go, also who do I want to retire for breeding purposes. The task can be rather daunting and I have to do it in fits and starts. I know there are a few mixers I will retire to breed such as Arabians Faiza and Kasida. And a few TB's as well, though not many.
I'll be able to sort through more of the TB's once the new year starts and I can test all of the new 4-year-olds for chasing ability. That will hopefully weed out quite a few.

With five racing weeks left for this SIM year I have a little less than 200K to make to reach the 3 million mark for earnings for the year. I only need to make 17K to pass my earnings for Year 25.
I've already surpassed my stakes wins for every other year I've played, with 12. My next highest total was year 23 when Soft Music was running and I had 9.
I need 16 more maiden wins to equal last years total of 63 and 8 more 2-year-old wins to match last years total of 27. Whether I actually achieve any of these things will remain to be seen.
I'm pleased to have most of my broodmares bred with only 12 TB's left and 11 mixed breeds. At this point there are at least 7 more that I will be retiring week 15 or 16, with five of them being mixed breeds and two thoroughbreds. Which leaves me with 30 as a total. I'm already anxious to see how this years foals turn out..

Sold 4 more horses today and in going through my stable, I have almost decided that at the end of the year I think I'll put all of my steeplechasers in an auction and see if I can't sell them all off and start over next year.

Well, I've gotten quite a bit of breeding done this weekend, both TB's and mixed breeds. I now have 53 foals on the ground, 23 that still need names. I have 20 more TB's to breed and 13 more mixed breeds. I'll probably be retiring five or six more TB's at the end of the year and at least nine mixers.
I've put a number of horses up on the new player sales page for $1, all but nine of them have sold so far. Right now I have a little over 500 horses in my barn, thanks mostly to all of the breeding I've been doing. A little over 200 of them consist of non-racers: broodmares, foals, yearlings and pensioned horses. Of the racers, 69 are various mixed breeds and 25 are steeplechasers. I will continue to cull.

Thursday Week 10 Year 26 02/11/10
I've been able to get a lot of my broodmare's bred over the last few weeks. Hopefully there will be only a handful left by the end of this SIM year. I currently have 45 foals on the ground with maybe another 30 to go and another 16 mixed breed mares to go. Of course there's a handful I will be retiring at the end of the year but I've already begun looking at studs for them.
