Monday Week 5 Year 25 9/31/09

Monday - steeplechasing and whatnot tonight. I have a few nopt so good 2-year-old's running as fillers tonight. 30 running overall.





Coronal - 3-year-old filly All Weather Miler - or at least I think she's an all weather miler. This is her second all weather start. Got 4th in her first start which was better than her two dirt starts, which might mean something but might mean nothing. MSW in England. I really have no idea how she'll do, overall she's been a pretty lackluster horse so far. 3 44 SOLD

Cryptic Humor - 6-year-old mare chaser - has a record of 9: 1-2-2 chasing. Her SF's aren't all that great. She's in an allowance in Ireland with similiar. 8 48

Epic Farewell - 3-year-old dirt router colt - steward-bred and one of my more frustrating horses. Decent works and well bred but struggles. He's in a NW2 tonight in the Dominican at a longer distance than he's used to. There's only one other horse in the field that looks better but I've heard that song before with this horse. Hoping the longer distance is what he's been wanting. 1 69

Euridice - 2-year-old turf sprinter filly - 3rd in her first outing, this is her second try at breaking her maiden. Hoping that the first time out was a little too short for her at 4F. This 6F MSW in France should be more to her liking. There's a lot of untested 2-year-olds in the field so I don't really know what will happen. 10 24

Harrodsburg Pike - 3-year-old AW miler gelding. This is his second start on AW, won the first time out in a maiden claimer. He's running in a NW3 in Canada because that was all that was available at a mile for this week. There's a couple with two wins in this field that look like they will take this but I can always hope. 6 40

Heap of Virtue - 3-year-old dirt router filly - 4 starts with a 2nd and 3rd, her third start for me in a 30K maiden claimer. 1 62

Holder Hall - 4-year-old dirt router colt - my other DTD yearling - he's just really started to improve with 3 wins out of his last 4 starts. Been fairly consistent most of his career but throws in a clunker every few races. Running him in an allowance in Illinois against some older and richer horses. The track is sloppy which he usually loves. Won last time out with a 68 SF - hoping he manages to hold his own here.

Joyful Bliss - 2-year-old turf router filly - or she should be a router but her workouts were not very good. She was a 10K auction buy so I want to try to get some of my money back from her. She's making her first start as a filler in a NW2 in Japan at 6F. 3 other horses in the field. 3 38

Long Bomb - 4-year-old dirt sprinter filly - 9 starts and still a maiden. She's running in a 25K maiden claimer in Kansas. I keep meaning to try her on jumps and just keep forgetting. She was a 1K auction buy and has made that back a few times over, she's running with others just like her so not sure how she'll do. 4 50

Love Bites - 2-year-old dirt sprinter filly - homebred - second start of her career, came in 9th the first time out, adding lasix, hind bandages and a tongue tie. 20K maiden claimer in Indiana. 3 56 SOLD

Malawi - 4-year-old chaser filly - this is her first start as a chaser, earned me her money back and than some on the flats but never really did well. I hope chasing agrees with her more. Running in a MSW in Australia, probably should have waited one more week due to the ship but she seems fine. 4 57

Moet Now - 3-year-old AW miler filly - this is her second start for me, came in 6th the first time I ran her which was her best finish out of 4 starts. Running in a MSW in Illinois against some that definitely look better. She'll probably finish out of the money. but really had nowhere else to put her. 4 42 SOLD

Mythical Star - 3-year-old all weather router gelding - at least that's what I'm hoping he is. Trying him out on AW in an allowance in Canada. Didn't have a bad AW work but his first AW outing was dismal but the distance was too short. Trying a route this time and there's only three others in the field. 4 36

Pacific Storm - 7-year-old chaser gelding - has a record of 8: 2-3-1 chasing. Won last out in a NW2, running in a NW4 tonight in New Zealand with two other horses in the field. Just raced two weeks ago but wheeling him back earlier because of the light field. 1 87

Pearlsbeforeswine - 2-year-old dirt sprinter filly - homebred - this is her second start, first start was a 9th. Adding lasix and tongue tie tonight and a little shorter distance. She's running in a maiden claimer in Illinois with a full field. 10 24

Run To You - 2-year-old dirt sprinter filly - homebred - this is her second start, 5th in her first outing. Adding lasix and a slightly longer distance. 25K Maiden claimer in Illinois. 11 19

Serene Spirit - 2-year-old turf miler filly - homebred - first outing in a 32K NW2 claimer in California. Filler with four other horses. 3 41

Serenity Prevails - 2-year-old dirt sprinter - homebred - first outing in a 32K claiming NW2 in California. 3 52

Shadowdancer - 3-year-old all weather sprinter gelding - first start on all weather to see if he improves. Running in a 32K claimer in Illinois. Would have liked to have picked a softer spot but needed to race him. 10 14

Singing The Blues - 5-year-old all weather router gelding - a 1K purchase that has more than made his money back, seems to run up-and-down. Has chasing potential but I'm trying to hold off until next year. Running in a 45K claimer in Illinois. 7 35

So It Goes - 2-year-old turf sprinter colt - this is his second start, 9th first time out. Adding a shadow roll and lasix. Running in NW2 as a filler in Florida, 3 other horses in the field. 4 45

Someone Elses Star - 5-year-old chaser mare - didn't do well in the flats and hasn't done well chasing. Running in a 45K claimer in New Zealand with five other horses. Maybe she can get a check. 5 54 AJ

Strike Em - 5-year-old chaser gelding - has one win out of two starts chasing. Running in a NW2 in Australia tonight. Others look stronger. 6 63

Sun Beams - 2-year-old dirt sprinter filly - this is her second start, won first time out (58). Running in a NW2 in Chile against 3 others, at least one looks better. 3 52

This Is It - 4-year-old all weather miler filly - bought her for a buck so she made her money back plus quite a bit more but in general a real underachiever. This is her second start on AW, 8th the first time out on it but I like to give them two tries when switching surfaces. MSW in Illinois. 5 34 SOLD

Twinkling Lights - 5-year-old dirt sprinter mare - steward-bred has 3 wins and 1 second out of seven starts. I'm biting the bullet and putting her in a small listed stakes in Arizona. The distance is a little shorter than she seems to prefer but I'm hoping she can overcome that. She's won two of her last three with respectable SF's. This is her third start for me. She was a 10K forum auction buy and made her money back plus some in two races. Hope she can grab a piece of the stakes. 2 62

Wild Thing - 4-year-old chaser filly - this is her first chase race, 20K maiden claimer in South Carolina. No idea how she'll do. 1 79

Yoshinobu - 2-year-old dirt miler gelding - not very good works, running in a 15K NW2 claimer in Canada with three other horses. 2 55

Zion - 7-year-old chaser mare - not very good on the flats and not too good chasing. She's running in a NW3 in New Zealand tonight because there was nowhere else to put her. 7 50

He's in a MSW at Marathon Raceway going way longer than he's ever gone before at 1 1/4. Field of 3 (including him). This is his first race for me. 2 47 SOLD


Aright - 3-year-old bay gelding dirt router - he's in a 10K maiden claiming race in Pennsylvania tonight. 8 29 SOLD

Astral Queen - 4-year-old bay filly turf miler - a 2K auction buy that has run three times for me with a 4th and two 3rd's. She's in a MSW in England tonight, she might have a shot at finally breaking it. Some others look more likely, though. She does have chaser potential so there's always that. 7 35

Authoritative - 3-year-old black colt dirt router - 20K auction buy that hasn't come close to paying me back in 5 starts. He's running in a MSW in Kentucky tonight in a short route. He probably really wants to go longer so I'll be trying to find something for his next race at a 10 or 12 panels, but it's hard to find maiden races that long. Very well bred but struggling right now. 9 24

Bungee Jumping - 4-year-old chestnut gelding dirt router - 10K auction buy who has paid for himself but just barely. Trying him with no equipment tonight for the first time. Running in a NW2 in Tennesse, there's a lot that are better in this full field. 8 20 SOLD

Cascade of Faith - 4-year-old dark bay filly turf router - this is a horse given to me as a gift last SIM year. This will be her third time out for me, only got a 3rd out of the last two starts. Running in a sponsored NW2 tonight in Tennesse. Not sure about the field, they look comparable. 7 32

Early One Morning - 3-year-old black filly tuf miler - 10K auction buy that has made 38K for me in 5 starts. Tonight she runs in another sponsored NW2, this one in Kentucky. There's a bit of competition in this field so hoping she can get a piece of it.

Fire Song - 4-year-old chestnut gelding AWrouter- 60K chat auction buy as a yearling. This has been one disappointing horse for his price. Only 17K in earnings, I've been running him on AW at a mile because it seems like the only way he runs half decent. Running in a NW2 in Canada tonight, quite a few better in this field.

Point Royale - 3-year-old grey colt dirt sprinter - 10K auction buy, she's more than doubled her money but has struggled the last few times out. 7 furlongs is what she usually likes but I put her in a mile allowance tonight in case she really wants to go longer. Her sire seemed to do well at both distances. Won't be disappointed if she fails at this distance though. 9 32

Quiet Please - 3-year-old dark bay filly dirt sprinter - 90K chat auction buy. She still owes me a lot of money. She's made money in every start and has never finished worse than 4th (one time), she's had 5 races and just broke her maiden last time out (after adding lasix). She's running in a NW2 in Kentucky in a full field with some tough competition. 9 40

Red Velvet Curtain - 6-year-old bay gelding turf miler - 1K auction buy as an older gelding. He's more than paid for himself but hasn't run very consistently. Running in an allowance in Germany tonight against much better horses. 10 35

Thrillin' Lady - 2-year-old bay filly - turf sprinter - 4.5K auction buy - this is her second start, first time on lasix, MSW in England. 5 43

Violation - 4-year-old dark bay colt - dirt router - one of my DTD horses does okay. He's running in a NW2 tonight in Texas and a full field. Looks like he should finish in the top 3 but he's disappointed before so I'm not counting on it. This is at a longer route that he usually runs, hoping the added distance helps him out. 5 48

Back Off - 6-year-old black gelding quarter horse - One of the original mixed breeds I bought when they first came into the SIM. He's running in a stakes tonight at 400 yds mostly because there was no where else to put him. Not his favorite distance. Lots of better horses. *Wings* 5 70

Carry Me - 2-year-old brown Appy filly - given to me as a gift as a yearling - she's not very fast but tonight she's running as a filler in a NW2 with two others. This is the first start for the other two in the race, this is Carry Me's second start - she was 8th in her first start. She'll bring in a check at least. 3 33


Combat Rock - 5-year-old dark bay Arabian horse - Another one of the original mixed breeds, this one was given to me as a gift. Seems to only like 5 furlongs, 4 wins all at 5F. He's in a stakes tonight with some tougher horses, hope he can grab a piece of it. *Wings* 5 71

Dream Eater - 4-year-old black Arabian filly - CAH - created her simply to put into a race that had only one entry. She's running in a NW3 tonight, maybe she'll do okay. This is only her fourth race and I'm still feeling her out. 8 57

Aces High - 5-year-old black gelding steeplechaser - 1.5K auction buy - won his first time out chasing by over 6 lengths with a SF of 80, this is his second try in a longer, low level stakes. There weren't a lot of options. Hope he likes chasing as much as I think he does. His third start for me overall. 4 85


Cabella - 4-year-old grey filly - 5K auction buy - she's made her money back plus some but hasn't broken her maiden yet. Her sire was a late bloomer so I'll give her a little more time. She's in a maiden race. She usually brings home a check, just not a win. 2 57

Dramatic American - 6-year-old black gelding chaser -5K auction buy when I first started. Won last out, in a NW2 in New Zealand. 6 53

Eris - 6-year-old chestnut mare chaser - 1K sales page buy when I first started. She just ran last week and came in third, I'm bringing her back so soon as a filler in a Starter Allowance with no other entrants in New Zealand - should be an easy walkover for her. Hope she doesn't get hurt. 1 70

Esselmont - 5-year-old bay mare - 9.5K sales page buy when I was a junior. Hasn't done as well chasing as I had hoped she would. She's in a maiden race in England with a full field. 9 33

Expedite - 3-year-old bay colt - 40K auction buy - Steward-bred - in a NW2 in Kansas at a slightly longer distance than he is used to. He has struggled most of his career. 1 63

False Bravado - 3-year-old bay filly - 1K auction buy - this is her second start for me, she came in second the first time I ran her, which was also her first start on AW. She's already doubled the money I spent on her. She may just have been needing the right surface, I'm also trying her without blinkers which will be new for her. Maiden race. 5 36 SOLD

Gotta Be Me - 3-year-old black gelding - homebred - he's running in a NW2 tonight. Probably will never get beyond allowance level but that's okay. Broke his maiden 2 races back. 8 34

L A Face - 6-year-old chestnut mare steeplechaser - this horse has been so frustrating for me. Mary Weather says she gallops as if she has wings but yet she has one win and one third out of 19 starts. Total earnings of 12K. Ugh. I bought her for $150 off of the sales page when I was a junior and I have no idea why I hang onto her. She hasn't done any better steeplechasing than she did as a flat racer. The only good thing is I can use her as a filler in maiden races. 3 62 AJ

La Fenice - 4-year-old dark bay filly - 16K auction buy - not a good deal at this point and soon to go. I'm trying her at a mile tonight to see if there is any improvement. She hasn't even come close to earning her money back. She actually has decent workouts, they just don't translate to the race very well. Legenda Aurea - 4-year-old black filly - 10K auction buy - she has almost made her money back, but not quite. She's in a NW2 tonight. I think she really wants to run farther but it's been hard to find races at a longer distance that aren't stakes. She's in a short route tonight. Also running her without equipment tonight for the first time.

Weird - 5-year-old dark bay mare steeplechaser - 1.5K auction buy - this is her first steeplechaser race, maiden in Maryland. She made me 10K in her second start on the flats for me so more than paid for herself. This is her third start for me. 4 59

Only 10 running tonight, I'm missing my filler horses these days. :( A lot of races not filled this week. This is not going to be one of my better Friday nights.


Aspen Wonder - 3-year-old grey filly - 5K auction buy - not a very good horse but I have her at the United Arab Republic so she has a chance in some of the lighter races. She's entered in an allowance with other struggling horses. She's made almost 9K so at least she has paid for herself. 9 25 SOLD

Beyron - 5-year-old bay gelding - Beyron was given to me by AJ when I asked about him soon after I joined. He's a sprinter and hasn't been doing so well as he gets older. He's running in a 50K claimer tonight. It's a full field so I'm not expecting much at all. 10 33

Destiny Is Mine - 2-year-old bay filly - homebred. I'm starting her off on AW which she had her best workout on. Maiden race with a full field and many of them have even better times at least at 2F so I'll be surprised if she does well. Nowhere else to really run her. 9 31

Flymetothemoon - 4-year-old bay filly - 1K sales page buy - her second start for me. Another full field with many better horses. 4 49 SOLD

Language Barrier - 4-year-old dark bay filly - she was given to me as a 2-year-old when I was in Junior High. She's done okay 6 OTB finishes out of 9 starts, almost 32K. She's only not brought in a check twice. She's in a NW3 with some pretty tough competition. Her speed figures aren't the greatest so I'll just hope she finishes strong. 7 27

Perfectly Magical - 3-year-old bay filly - homebred (and not one of the better ones!) - she would probably do better on AW but I currently have her in New Zealand so she;s in a turf sprint. She's had 4 starts and finished badly each time. No expectations here. 6 38

Quisquose - 3-year-old bay filly - 10K auction buy. This horse is terrible on the flats but has a good steeplechase pedigree so I'm basically just hanging on to her until she is 4 to see if she'll do better at steeplechasing. She's in a MSW in Ireland, a full field with others that aren't very good. 9 34 SOLD

Sunday Minx - 5-year-old black mare - 1.5K auction buy. I bought her to see if I could improve her at all since she has good breeding, eventhough she is older. This is her second start for me, she made her money back in the first start with a 3rd, her best finish so far. She's actually brought in a check in each of her races even though she finished off the board with the other trainer. She also has potential as a chaser. She's in a maiden race in Hong Kong, only 5 other horses so far, all the others are 4-year-olds though. Hopefully she does okay, if not, I'll probably make her a chaser. 1 59

To The Stars - 4-year-old grey filly - 5K sales page buy. She's actually won her last two races and made over 17K for me, the problem is that she really likes a sloppy track and this is a fast track. She's had 9 starts altogether and just has the 2 wins. She does have chaser potential so I may switch her to that if she does really badly tonight. She's in an allowance in California with a few that have better SF's and that fast track. 9 31

You're Welcome - 6-year-old black gelding - 5K auction purchase. He's made me about 12K so he paid for himself. He's in a NW3 tonight with some really decent horses. He's not the oldest horse in the field, there's another 6-year-old and an 8-year-old. At his age I just like to see him do well. 6 33


Unbelievable that I actually got a win out of one of these!

Mixed breed racing night. Only 4 running unless I decide to see if I have any I can use for fillers. There are always a lot of unfilled mixed breed races.


Big Boss - 3-year-old grey colt trotter - 1K sales page - has a record of 4:1-1-1 Tonight he's running in a NW2, no idea how well he'll do. 4 55

Eomeona - 3-year-old dark bay gelding trotter - recent sales page buy for $500 - not too fast. Has one 2nd in 4 starts. He's in a NW3 as a filler with three other horses. 4 53

I Like To Jog - 5-year-old brown horse trotter - 60K forum buy. CAH, started out strong in the beginning of his career and has floundered since. He's in a NW4 because that's all that was available. 2 64

Stepaside Peake - 3-year-old dark bay gelding trotter - another recent sales page buy for $5. This is his first time running for me. He's in a MSW. 3 54

Addison - 4-year-old dark bay filly - 15K auction purchase as a 3 yo. She's won 32K since I got her so she has at least paid for herself. She's running in a NW2. *Wings* 10 27

Cinque Terre - 5-year-old black mare steeplechaser - 1K sales page purchase. She's won about 18K since I bought her, so she does pay for herself. She's running in a 12K Allowance. 5 51

Dreams of Venus - 2-year-old chestnut filly - homebred, her debut maiden race, starting her on AW since she had better works over that track. 7 30

Eris - 6-year-old chestnut mare steeplechaser - Not too great on the flats and has only one win in 5 starts chasing. I'm trying her equipment free in a claiming NW2. 3 69 (3 horse field)

Hugs and Kisses - 4-year-old chestnut filly - a recent 25K auction purchase. So far she's only earned $500 for me in two starts. I'm running her in a NW3 though she only has one win so I'm not expecting anything, I'm running her equipment free so I just want to see what sort of effort she puts out. 2 55

I Eat Cannibals - 2-year-old dark bay filly - homebred - this is her first start in a MSW which might be a little short for her. 8 38

Ize Happy - 3-year-old black colt - given to me as a yearling. He's running in a 25K maiden claiming race, his fourth start. So far he has come in second twice in MSW out of 3 starts. See how he does. 5 43

Notice Worthy - 6-year-old bay gelding steeplechaser - I had Notice Worthy since I was new, I think. He was given to me. Didn't do very well on the flats, earned some money, sold him to a new person last year, they left the game and he ended up in AJ's stable and eventually ended up on the general sales page. I bought him back for 1K and turned him into a steeplechaser. He has one win and one third in four starts chasing. He's running in an allowance. 9 61

Reach the World - 5-year-old chestnut mare steeplechaser - she was given to me in my second year. She didn't start earning any money for me until she became a steeplechaser. 5 starts chasing and she has hit the board 4 times. I have her in a stakes but there are only 4 other horses in it at this point so she should at least bring home a check. 4 69

State of Mind - 5-year-old chestnut gelding - 7500 sales page buy. Finally started making money when I switched him to AW last year. He's won 29K since I bought him. He's in a sponsored stakes so I'm not expecting him to do well but it was a distance he seems to like. 5 45 SOLD

This Is It - 4-year-olod black filly - $1 sales page buy. 9 starts has only made 1K. I'm trying her on AW in a maiden claimer. 8 25 SOLD

Friday Week 2 Year 25 8/14/09

Well, I lost my original post from last nights racing so I’m just going to post the results and whatever else I think of. I had 23 run last night, mostly maidens.

Aright – 3-year-old grey gelding by Righteous x Areek (Deputy Minister). 5K auction purchase. I bought this guy because I like Righteous as a sire. I don’t know why since Righteous really hasn’t thrown any stars. Last night was his first try on All Weather in a maiden race, he didn’t do very well but I guess he did better than he usually does on dirt. 6 35 SOLD

Beautiful Memory – 3-year-old chestnut filly by Remember the Name x Beauty Contest (Trophy). 20K sales page purchase as a foal. She has been a bit of a disappointment, ran her in a maiden claiming race last night. She didn’t do well and in fact I have already sold her for $1. The new owner already has her in a race for next week so don’t know what they’re thinking. Hope they don’t wind up paying for an injury. I don’t want to take the chance of writing the new owner and having her get annoyed with me. Live and learn. 7 38 SOLD

Breckenridge – 3-year-old grey filly by Colorado x Stephanys Loki (Loki Dynasty). 1K auction purchase. This was her second start for me. She did pretty well in the claiming race I had her in, of course it was only a 4 horse field. Definitely improved from her last starts. 2 48 SOLD

Epic Farewell – 3-year-old bay colt by Epic x Run Forever Free (Walkover). 25K Steward-bred auction purchase. This horse has been a big disappointment to me so far. He ran in a NW2 last night and did very poorly. I don’t know what exactly to do with him. *Wings* 7 41

He Rules – 3-year-old bay gelding by I Already Rule x Smooth Vibrations (Tremulous Echo). I won a free breeding to I Already Rule when I was a new player and had no broodmares. I purchased a cheap broodmare off of the sales page and He Rules was the result. Not exactly the best way to breed a good horse. Still I feel somewhat obligated to this poor horse. He ran in a maiden claiming race last night. 4 46

Heap of Virtue – 3-year-old chestnut filly by Righteous x Pile Driver (Classic Foundation). A recent 5K auction purchase. She did pretty well in her second start for me in a maiden race. 2 57

Lucky Thirteen - 2-year-old black colt by Piston x Lucky Number Seven (Six Signs). 1K auction purchase. Won his debut maiden race last night. 1 60

Magical Fan – 3-year-old black filly by Performing Tricks x Mercury (Duel of the Stars). Recent 1K auction purchase. This horse has 5 starts and has finished 7th four times. (Twice for me.) I think I’ll give him a AW workout before I decide to dump him. 7 39 SOLD

Malawi – 4-year-old dark bay filly by Dubawi x Painted Sand ( Footstepsinthesand). 1k sales page buy. In her 2 starts for me she has earned her purchase price back and than some. She’s supposed to have steeplechase potential so that is what she is going to be after this, a steeplechaser. 5 30

Moet Now – 3-year-old roan filly by Monet x Rekindle (Dubai Status). Recent 1K auction purchase. This was her first start for me, as well as her first start on All Weather, she didn’t do very well. She did do a little better than she has done on dirt. 6 36 SOLD

Narcissa – 6-year-old black mare by Change the Past x Rictuempra (Raindrops on Roses). 2K auction purchase as a 5 yo. I like her breeding for a broodmare. Hasn’t done that well on the track though. She ran in a maiden race last night that might have been just a little too long for her. At least she brought home a check. She has made the original cost back and than some. 5 51 SOLD

Nuclear - 3-year-old chestnut colt by Righteous x North Carolina (Unheard Of). 30K purchase from the sales page as a yearling. This horse has so much potential but has been struggling. Ran in a Grade 3 stakes last night, should have done better. *Wings* 4 58

Perfect Hero - 3-year-old dark bay colt by Right Hand Man x Hero Sword (Future Hero). This was another free breeding but with someone elses broodmare. He ran in a NW2 last night and captured his second win of his short career. 1 64

Shadowdancer – 3-year-old black gelding by Hemi Cuda x Gilded Medallion (Leelanau). One of my earliest attempts at breeding after being given this broodmare along with the recommendation of who to breed her to. The result was not good. Ran in a 25K claimer last night. 8 18

Shootout - 5-year-old bay gelding by Right Hand Man x Rebel (A Bus). This horse was just recently given to me, he has over 200K in earnings with a record of 17: 4-2-4but I can’t get him near the winners circle. 12 33

Sneak Around – 3-year-old bay gelding by Stealth Ninja x Phaedra (Bago). 88K auction purchase as a yearling. He’s been disappointing in his first three starts but finally broke his maiden last night. 1 64

So It Goes – 2-year-old bay colt by Vonnegut x Rakhine (Anabaa). 2K auction purchase as a yearling. He didn’t do too well in his race debut but the distance may have been too short for him. 9 33

Sonaran Beat – 3-year-old chestnut gelding by Mojave x Songremainsthesame (Anthem). 2K auction purchasse as a yearling. Hasn’t done well so far, I’ll probably end up dumping him. He ran in a maiden race. 7 32 SOLD

Stepping Out – 3-year-old chestnut gelding by Step Aside x Role Model (Tejano Causeway). Homebred. His fourth start and he finally breaks his maiden. 1 60

Summer Pleasure – 3-year-old chestnut filly by Look of Eagles x Rhineland (Mr. Prospector). Homebred. 4 tries, still a maiden. 6 38

Twinkling Lights – 5-year-old chestnut mare by Comet x Photo Shoot (Out of Focus). 10K forum auction purchase as a 4 yo, Steward-bred. This was only her second start for me and she came in second the first time and won last night. She ran in a NW3. *Wings* 1 64

Wild Thing – 4-year-old black filly by The Wilding x Mermaidia (Galileo). 2K auction purchase. Nine starts and still a maiden. 7 42

Winged Warrior – 3-year-old chestnut gelding by Castle x Pocomoke (Grand Reward). Homebred. No good. 8 36

Mixed breed racing night. I have 16 running tonight.

Amir - 4-year-old chestnut Arabian router colt. Won last out at 1 1/2 miles in a maiden race with a SF of 68, trying him at 2 miles tonight in an allowance. Has hit the board 4 out of 5 races. The first was a sprint so understandable. A lot of good horses in this field for a paltrey 10K. *Wings* 4 65

Combat Rock - 5-year-old dark bay Arabian sprinter colt, was given to me from a friend who was getting out of Arabians. Seems to favor 5F races. Won his last two races, a NW3 and a small 60K stakes with a SF of 70 in the stakes. He's in a 6F 40K stakes tonight with Nar and Zamil so don't think he really stands a chance but hopefully he at least brings home a check. Won't be surprised if he doesn't though. *Wings* 6 67

Cracklin Rosie - 2-year-old chestnut Quarter Horse, this is her first race, a 220 yd. sprint maiden race. Her works were okay, not expecting much. 5 48

Cresceus - 5-year-old dark bay gelding trotter, he's up and down with a record of 16: 1-3-4 and earnings of 45K. He's running in an allowance tonight, he might have a shot if he runs one of his better races. 6 52

Dusty Digger - 3-year-old palomino Appy colt. This is his 3rd start, hasn't showed much yet and doesn't have very good works so I'm not expecting much. 400 yd maiden. 8 42

Giddyup - 3-year-old perlino Quarter Horse colt. This is his 3rd start, hasn't done well yet and has poor works. No expectations. 220 yd maiden race. 8 47 GAVE AWAY

Hanover My Heart - 3-year-old grey trotter filly. She's done okay considering her works are slow. This is her fourth start, she has two second place finishes and one 5th. Sf's in the 40's. 6 40

Heart of the Night - 3-year-old black trotter filly. This is her fourth start, so far she has one 3rd. Trying her with a tongue tie tonight to see if there is any improvement. *Wings* 6 42

Jada - 4-year-old black Arabian filly CAH, seems to prefer sprints though her best SF was in the one route race she ran. Has yet to break her maiden. Trying lasix for the first time tonight.

Kasida - 5-year-old grey Arabian mare sprinter. She's hit the board 6 times out of 9 starts with 2 wins but only has 27K in earnings. She's in a 5F allowance tonight. It's a full field, if she runs her very best she stands a chance of hitting the board. 3 70

Locomotive - 3-year-old bay Pacer colt. This is his fifth start, has one 3rd and earnings of 1K. He's in a maiden race with a bunch of other underachievers. *Wings* 6 45

Lonesome Fugitive - 3-year-old dark bay Trotter colt. His third start tonight, has one win and one 2nd so far. Decent workouts. Have him in a stakes but I'm not really expecting anything from him, there's a lot of good horses in there. 7 58

Marengo - 3-year-old black Arabian colt. This is his first race, a 5 F maiden race. Has had some decent works, think he might be a router though. *Wings* 2 63

Matter of Fact - 3-year-old bay Trotter colt. This is his fourth start. Has yet to break his maiden. Decent workouts. *Wings* 2 59

Spirit Road - 3-year-old grullo Appy colt. His third race, has a 4th and a 2nd. Seems to prefer 870 yds. Tonight he's in a 870 yd sponsored stakes race. Decent workouts. Don't think he'll win but maybe he'll hit the board. Only 6 horses in the field. Trying him on lasix. *Wings* 3 61

Two Bits - 5-year-old buckskin Paint gelding. 5 placings out of 11 starts. Seems to prefer 350 but does okay at the other distances. Tonight he's in a 350 yd. NW2 claimer. Hopefully he does okay and doesn't get claimed. *Wings* 2 62

Monday night I have 22 horses running:

1. Autochtoe - 2-year-old bay filly out of Berlioz x Cabocabocabo (Xaar) - given to me by Berlioz's owner Megan. This is her first start, 4 1/2 F turf sprint, probably a little short for her but I'll have to see how she does. Her work out times were okay, not brilliant. 9th 20
3. Coronal - 3-year-old bay filly out of Looking at the Sun x Flare Cascade (El Condor Pasa) - I picked her up for 5K and this is her first race for me. Her last trainer ran her as a turf router but I am shortening her up to a mile and trying her out on All Weather. She finished off the board in her first two starts. 4th 41 SOLD
4. Cryptic Humor - 6-year-old bay mare steeplechaser out of Funny Cide x Send A Star (Really A Star). She was a 1K purchase back when I first started playing the SIM. Has a chasing record of 8:1-2-2 Stretching her out to 4 miles tonight. 9th 37
5. False Bravado - 3-year-old bay filly out of Courageous Witness x With A Wink (Unheard Of). She was a 1K auction buy, this is her first time racing for me. She's been running in turf sprints never hitting the board in 4 tries. She gave me a pretty good AW workout so I'm starting her tonight in an AW sprint Maiden race. 2nd 52 SOLD
6. Fire Song - 4-year-old chestnut gelding out of Mighty Big x Accuracy (Ghostzapper). A 60K yearling purchase originally, he's done his best running on AW but only has earnings of about $17K. Tonight I'm trying him on dirt for the first time. A short route which was probably not a great idea. Should have started him on dirt at a mile like his sire. 10th 26
7. Harrodsburg Pike - 3-year-old bay gelding out of Test Your Strength x Midway Road (Dance In The Dark). He was given to me as a yearling and has run turf sprints and turf mile races, never hitting the board. I'm trying him on AW for the first time after he put in a decent AW workout. 1st 55
8. Holder Hall - 4-year-old black gelding out of Seek Thrills x Nassau Hall (Quiet American). One of my original Dare To Dream yearlings. He does okay as an allowance horse, earnings of 34K in 8 starts. Dirt router runs in an allowance over a muddy track on Monday. 1st 68
9. Joyride - 2-year-old dark bay filly out of Source x Havana (King Cugat), a homebred. Turf sprinter breeding, this is her first race. Her works have been okay. 8th 24
10. Last Love - 3-year-old chestnut gelding out of End of the Line x Rememberiloveyou (Static) a 5K auction purchase. 3 starts, no earnings. He's running in a 15K claimer at a shorter distance than he is used to. I want to see if it makes any difference. 5th 39
11. Long Bomb - 4-year-old black filly out of Chris' Missle x Long Glitter (Glitterman). Another 1K auction purchase. Dirt sprinter that has only made 9K in 8 starts. Trying her out on AW this week even though her AW work was just average. 6th 31 SOLD
12. Never Better - 2-year-old dark bay filly out of Indubitably x Smooth Vibrations (Tremulous Echo), a homebred. Not very promising works on dirt so I'm not expecting much. This is her first race. 8th 32
13. Norman's Hope - 4-year-old black filly out of Hemi Cuda x Hopes (Tri Star), a 5K auction purchase, one win in 9 starts. Running her in a claimer, dirt sprint. 4th 54 SOLD
14. Point Royale - 3-year-old grey colt out of Hemingway x Hawk Feathers (Em's Always Busy), bought for 10K as a yearling. He has one win in five starts, earnings of 23K. Have him in a claiming race this week, probably will be gelding him right afterwards. :) 4th 49
15. Red Velvet Curtain - 6-year-old bay gelding out of The Scarlet Nite x The Curtain Falls (Pi Kappa Dancer), yet another 1K auction purchase. 16 starts for 42K, running him in an AW allowance this week. His first AW race. 10th 23
16. Singing The Blues - 5-year-old chestnut gelding out of Dance In The Dark x Foreverandaday (Midnightconfession), 1K auction buy. 10 starts for almost 20K. He's got pretty decent AW works but he's a miler and I've had a heck of a time finding races for him on AW. However, he will be running on AW this week, NW3. 6th 40
17. Someone Elses Star - 5-year-old chestnut mare steeplechaser, out of Look My Best x A.P. Star (A.P. Indy) a 2K sales page buy back when I was a new player. Has never done much on the track or chasing (1 win), she's in a NW2 this week. 6th 62 AJ
18. Soulbridge - 4-year-old chestnut filly out of Knightsbridge Road x Soulful Groove (Perfect Soul), a $7,500 buy from the sales page. She's made just about 30K in 7 starts, finishes second a lot. She's in a NW3 this week at Paris Race Track. This will be her last racing year before I retire her as a broodmare. 4th 49
19. Strike Em - 5-year-old bay gelding steeplechaser out of Lightninginabottle x Zero Attitude (Ground Zero). This is only his second steeplechase race, he won his first maiden race. This is an allowance and much tougher. He only had an average SF in the first one so I'm not expecting much. A 1500K auction purchase. 8th 22
20. Sun Beams - 2-year-old dark bay filly out of Successinthecity x More Glitter (Glitterman) a 5K auction purchase. This is her first race and I messed up because I just shipped her to Uruguay, don't remember how long of a ship it was. The vet says she's okay to race so I guess it was a fairly short ship. There's only 3 other horses in the field so I hope she does okay. 1st 58
21. Tactical Attack - 6-year-old grey mare steeplechaser out of High Jump, a CAH I bought for 1K on the sales page when I was a new player. Pretty much an allowance horse. 36K in 16 starts. 3rd 82 GAVE AWAY
22. The Lonely One - 3-year-old bay colt out of One More x Cayakovsky (Mayakovsky), 5500K auction buy. Has a record of 5:1-1-1 with earnings of only 11K, won his last start, a 5F claimer. 4th 55
23. Zion - 7-year-old grey mare steeplechaser out of Unbridled Time x The Believer (Here's Lookin Atya), given to me back when I was a new player. Not really very good at anything. She has 28K in earnings in 21 starts. 3rd 65
