Tonight she's in a 15K MSW, five horse field, where she will earn her first money, if nothing else. That's okay, only one horse in this field has earned any money. 2 48
Crawl - 3-year-old dirt sprint filly - Running in a 12K NW3 with a full field, she might get up for a check. 4 56
Cry Silently - 2-year-old turf route filly - Steward-bred, running in a 150K Grade 2 stakes, five horse field. Andover Starlet - 4-year-old trot filly - Second start for me, running in a 15K MSW, four horse field. Picked her up for 2K and she has wings!!! She also has 9 starts and never been OTB.... :/ Trying her with a shadow roll and tongue tie. Also running with stablemate Heart of the Night. 4 26
As'ad - 7-year-old Arabian horse - Running in a sponsored 50K listed stakes, five horse field, yeah, he's the old guy here. 4 66
Bizmark - 3-year-old Arabian colt - First start for me, running in a 10K NW3, four horse field and over a sloppy track. This is his first try at a route, also running is stablemate Mounafes. 4 48

With the last week of racing coming up, I don't have too much going on. Except for Grateful Heart running on Friday, I don't have any real racers that I'm looking forward to running this week.
I need a little under 100K to reach 4 million for the year, not sure if I'll even make that with the horses I have running this week. However I have made over a million more than I did last year, what amazes me about it is that I made the majority of it through running fillers.
I've passed the amount of maiden wins and 2-year-old wins that I had last year and though my win stats are down a little from last year my OTB is up by over 5% from last year. And I've doubled my stakes wins, always a good thing.
I'm down to only three horses left to breed, mainly due to some recent purchases and two lease mares that may be coming up. I'm so glad I won't be scrambling to get everyone bred this year. I currently have 99 foals to show for it and hopefully there will be some good ones in there. It's a pretty even mix with 51 fillies and 48 colts, not surprising, I guess, since I generally use the random button when breeding. 68 are TB's with the rest being various mixed breeds. I'm hoping for a stronger mixed breed crop out of this group than last years seem to be turning out. There's so little pedigree history with the mixed breeds it's hard to do much with them that way.
So, overall, it's been a fairly successful year for me, though still no *big* horse has shown up.

Mixed breed racing night, a lot of big stakes races for the mixed breeds in Week 15. I have a few running in some of the stakes, not counting on any winning but hoping that the SIM gods will be kind. 24 running.
Amir - 5-year-old Arabian gelding - He's running in a 125K sponsored Grade 3 stakes, three horse field where he is most likely to come in last - but the payout should be decent and it will still look good on his record. With only two weeks left of racing before the end of the SIM year I'm trying to wind down my stable. I have a huge bunch of 3-year-olds I'm hanging onto to see if they will be any good at steeplechasing.
I've started to retire some of the mares that have finished their racing careers, mostly the mixed breeds. I'm waiting for some more of the mixer stallions to retire to breed most of them, many of those stallions should retire after this Wednesday. Hopefully I'll be able to have all of my mixed breeds bred by the end of this week.
Right now I only have four more TB mares to breed. I took the big step of breeding one of my better mares to a young stallion that stands for over 100K - not something I would usually spend on a breeding but decided to experiment and see how it comes out. This will be her third foal, the other two have both been winged, the 2-year-old is doing well but will like a longer distance that she is able to get at her age. The yearling has posted some very fast works. So far she has only thrown fillies, since I use the random button when breeding, I let the computer decide.
I currently have a total of 82 foals with 61 of them being TB's. Most of my mixed breed foals are trotters at this point, with 10. I have 91 yearlings that will soon be starting their racing career, 59 of them are TB's, with 13 trotters and though I have 7 Arabians only one is a 2-year-old and will race next year, the other six will spend another year in the barn.
I have put all but one of my current steeplechasers up for auction in the hopes of clearing out some space. Any that go will only be a plus for me. It's funny because when I first started playing this game steeplechasers were the last horse anyone wanted and wouldn't even sell for $1 on the sales page. Now there are players that seem to specialize in chasers. I believe that Mary Weather being able to judge which horse has a better chance over the jumps has really helped there. It used to be the only alternative to Greener Pastures.

I have 91 yearlings that will soon be starting their racing career, 59 of them are TB's, with 13 trotters and though I have 7 Arabians only one is a 2-year-old and will race next year, the other six will spend another year in the barn.
I have put all but one of my current steeplechasers up for auction in the hopes of clearing out some space. Any that go will only be a plus for me. It's funny because when I first started playing this game steeplechasers were the last horse anyone wanted and wouldn't even sell for $1 on the sales page. Now there are players that seem to specialize in chasers. I believe that Mary Weather being able to judge which horse has a better chance over the jumps has really helped there. It used to be the only alternative to Greener Pastures.

I've done better this year that I had originally thought I would. I have to say that fillers did a lot for me, but still the quality overall of most of my stable seems to have improved. I've made more money this year than any of the previous four SIM years, won many more stakes with 14, my previous high was 9. I'm only three wins away from hitting 400 wins overall. Last year I had 27 2-year-old wins, I'm currently sitting at 25 and will need at least three more wins to top last years total. Last year I had 63 maiden wins and I am at 56 right now for this year. This is harder to reach this year as I don't have as many maidens in my stable as I did this time last year.
With three weeks left of this SIM year I'm down to having only five TB mares to breed, which is amazing for me. I still have ten MB's to breed, though I'm waiting for some horses to retire before breeding them. Mostly I still have Arabians to breed.
There are a few mares I'll be retiring and hopefully I will get them bred during the break and before the year changes over. Most will be mixed breeds, I think, so that shouldn't be too much of a problem. I know there is at least one TB mare I planned on retiring and than ran her on AW and she did so well that now I'm not sure if I'll retire her or not. I'm going to try to squeeze one more race on AW for her and hope that the result will help me to decide. I've had a few horses surprise me on the AW lately.

The Cutting Edge - 2-year-old QH colt - Time to find out if he's the real deal or not. He's won his last two races, including a 200K Grade 1. Tonight he's in a 100K listed stakes with a full field. I had my doubts about entering him, it's a little shorter than he seems to like and he's only coming off of two weeks rest, but felt I had to put him to the test. He's vetted as being sharp. Might be too soon but I hope not. 4 66

Four more weeks left for this SIM year. 33 running tonight, mostly chasers and 2-year-olds, I think, along with some I'm still trying to decide on. Not really expecting too much from this group.
Astral Queen - 5-year-old chase mare - She's in a 12K MSW, six horse field, don't know if she'll finally break her maiden or not. 3 60
Autochthoe - 3-year-old turf sprint filly - Running in a 20K maiden claimer with a full field and a purse of 15K. 2 58
Chickesaw - 3-year-old dirt route filly - I'm trying her out on AW tonight, she had a fair AW workout. 10K sponsored NW2 claimer, four horse field including stablemate Spaceguard and a purse of 10K. Not really expecting her to take to the new surface but thought it was worth a shot. 1 61
Eris - 7-year-old chase mare - She's in a 50K listed stakes, five horse field with one monster who hasn't been off the board in all of her 18 starts. 4 71
Foot the Bill - 4-year-old chase filly - This is her fifth chasing start, only hit the board once with a third place finish. Tonight it's a 10K MSW, three horse field.

Grateful Heart - 2-year-old dirt sprint filly - Steward-bred, running in a 100K listed stakes, seven horse field, thought I'd give her another try in a stakes, she looks like she should match up pretty well with most of these. If she doesn't do well, I don't know where I'll go with her next, sprinters have a fairly small window of oppurtunity to do well in. 1 70
Heap of Virtue - 4-year-old dirt route filly - Running in a 12K allowance, six horse field, there's a good chance she may be last here. 6 36

Live Life Dancing - 3-year-old AW route filly - First start for me, first start on AW, just picked her up off the sales page for 1K, one of the horses originally in the the Claiming Program, apparently. (She did not do well in it.) She's in a 15K MSW, four horse field. I may only keep her for this race if the AW doesn't work out for her.
