Friday Year 25 Week 8 9/25/09

Only 15 runners tonight, mostly all turf.

American Tourist - 3-year-old filly - this is her second race for me. She's really a turf miler, but I'm running her in a dirt mile stakes race with four other horses. She's not very quick on the turf anyway, she's never broken out of the 40's with her sf's so it doesn't really matter what she races on. She'll earn her keep tonight anyway. 5 24

Face Value - 2-year-old turf sprinter gelding - Originally this was a five horse field, stakes, but sometime after I went to bed someone else entered a horse, so now it's a 6 horse field. So this horse is not earning anything tonight. 5 38

Give Candy - 2-year-old turf sprinter colt - Second start, running in a MSW with a lot that have no starts - hard to tell if he'll get into the top five or not. 5 35

Hugs and Kisses - 4-year-old turf sprinter filly - Running in a 60K claimer tonight, she might be in the mix at the end. 8 27

Ize Happy - 3-year-old dirt miler gelding - Slow gift horse, running in a sponsored NW2 - five horse field, he'll get a check anyway. 5 20

Kindness - 2-year-old turf filly - First start. She didn't have very good works, tonight she's in a very soft stakes with four others, she'll bring in a check. 5 40

Lucky Thirteen - 2-year-old turf sprinter colt - Third start, his first race he was first, his second race he was last. Tonight he's in a NW2 in a five horse field, he'll bring home something. 4 47

Musical Flower - 2-year-old turf sprinter filly - This is her first start for me, her third start overall, she has two wins but not very impressive SF (58). She's in a soft stakes with three other runners, at least two look like potential monsters. 4 45

Night Race - 2-year-old turf miler filly - Gift horse. First start in a full field MSW, she has decent works but so do a lot of the others. 5 49

Perfectly Magical - 3-year-old turf filly - Another one where it was a five horse field, stakes, and someone entered after I went to bed. (I gotta stop needing sleep.) She's finishing last. 6 42

Serene Spirit - 2-year-old turf filly - Running in a stakes, six horse field, more fillers than stakes quality - she'll probably finish out of the money. 6 29

Speed of Darkness - 2-year-old filly - bad works on all surfaces - I do like her name though. This is her first start - stakes - five horse field. 5 22

Spin That Record - 2-year-old turf sprinter filly - Third start, she has a first and a second. Not great SF (60) despite having some really nice workouts. She's running in a NW2 with a competitive field. 6 44

Stepping Out - 3-year-old turf router gelding - Running in an allowance in Japan - he doesn' stand a chance. 10 13

Water Landing - 5-year-old turf router mare - Running in a NW3 in a full field, she might get up in the mix at the end. She's only not brought home a check once out of 9 starts with five OTB finishes. This looks like a fairly tough field, though. 6 38
