Mixed breeds racing night! 15 going postward.
Amir - 4-year-old Arabian colt - running in a NW3 tonight in Montana at 1 1/4 miles, seems to like the longer distances, I have no idea how he'll do here though. 1 68
Cracklin Rosie - 2-year-old Quarter Horse filly - only her second start. Running in a MSW at a slightly longer distance than her first where she came in 5th. That was at 220, this is at 400 yds. California race with a lot of untested 2-year-olds. 3 60
Cresceus - 5-year-old gelding trotter - from the original batch of mixers. Running in a NW2 in a full field at Maroon Mile in Kentucky. He might do okay. 5 52
Cuts Like A Knife - 3-year-old Quarter Horse colt - my most frustrating mixed breed. Always on the edge of doing well. A CAH. He's running in an allowance tonight at the shortest distance available, 220 yds. I never know how he's going to run. 10 64
Dusty Digger - 3-year-old Appy gelding - he's pretty slow but there are only 4 other horses in this MSW in North Dakota so he'll bring home a check of some sort. 5 39
Eomeona - 3-year-old gelding trotter - another slow horse I bought super cheap - he's in a MSW in NJ with two AJ filler horses - maybe he breaks his maiden. 1 48
Giddyup - 3-year-old gelding Quarter Horse - again, another slow horse, running in a MSW in California with three other horses so he'll bring in a check anyway. 1 49
GAVE AWAY
Hotter Than Mojave - 2-year-old Appy colt - this is his second start - came in second in his first outing which was a MSW. Decided to throw him into a stakes in New Mexico since it's a small field. Hopefully he brings home a check. 2 57
Jada - 4-year-old Arabian filly - CAH - 5: 0-2-2 Running in a MSW in Montana, 6 horses in the field, hoping she brings in some money. 5 42
Locomotive - 3-year-old pacer colt - very slow, I haven't gelded him yet because somehow this slow horse got the coveted *wings* comment. So I'm giving him every possible equipment option before going snip-snip. He's run with all kinds of equipment and with no equipment, small fields, big fields. I'm trying a head pole tonight for the first time. He's been really unimpressive in all of his starts, and his works have been poor. Maybe his wings will sprout once he is gelded - probably after this race. MSW in New Jersey, not a full field but close. 8 40
Lonesome Fugitive - 3-year-old trotter colt - 3: 1-1-0 Had him in way over his head last out and he finished poorly. Running in a NW2 in Kentucky this week in a full field with many that look better. 2 60
Marengo - 3-year-old Arabia colt - this is his second start, came in for place in his first race. Going a little longer in tonights MSW in California with a full field. There are some with slightly better works so not sure how he'll do. 1 63
Spirit Road - 3-year-old Appy colt - 3: 0-1-1 running in a MSW in North Dakota tonight, full field, no idea how he's going to do. Trying a tongue tie tonight. 2 63
Stepaside Peake - 3-year-old trotter gelding - my $5 sales page purchase - running in a MSW in Kentucky with five others. Not great SF's - hope he brings in a check. 1 52
Two Bits - 5-year-old Paint gelding - he's running in a NW2 in North Dakota at his least favorite distance but nowhere else to really put him. Seven others running with him - all younger and probably faster. 8 16
