Monday Year 26 Week 13

Four more weeks left for this SIM year. 33 running tonight, mostly chasers and 2-year-olds, I think, along with some I'm still trying to decide on. Not really expecting too much from this group.


Astral Queen - 5-year-old chase mare - She's in a 12K MSW, six horse field, don't know if she'll finally break her maiden or not. 3 60

Autochthoe - 3-year-old turf sprint filly - Running in a 20K maiden claimer with a full field and a purse of 15K. 2 58

Chickesaw - 3-year-old dirt route filly - I'm trying her out on AW tonight, she had a fair AW workout. 10K sponsored NW2 claimer, four horse field including stablemate Spaceguard and a purse of 10K. Not really expecting her to take to the new surface but thought it was worth a shot. 1 61

Eris - 7-year-old chase mare - She's in a 50K listed stakes, five horse field with one monster who hasn't been off the board in all of her 18 starts. 4 71

Foot the Bill - 4-year-old chase filly - This is her fifth chasing start, only hit the board once with a third place finish. Tonight it's a 10K MSW, three horse field.

Grateful Heart - 2-year-old dirt sprint filly - Steward-bred, running in a 100K listed stakes, seven horse field, thought I'd give her another try in a stakes, she looks like she should match up pretty well with most of these. If she doesn't do well, I don't know where I'll go with her next, sprinters have a fairly small window of oppurtunity to do well in. 1 70

Heap of Virtue - 4-year-old dirt route filly - Running in a 12K allowance, six horse field, there's a good chance she may be last here. 6 36

Inthistwilight - 3-year-old dirt route filly - Not a very good runner, in a 32K claimer, eight horse field and a purse of 12K. She'll probably be gone after this race.

Live Life Dancing - 3-year-old AW route filly - First start for me, first start on AW, just picked her up off the sales page for 1K, one of the horses originally in the the Claiming Program, apparently. (She did not do well in it.) She's in a 15K MSW, four horse field. I may only keep her for this race if the AW doesn't work out for her.

Loki First - 4-year-old dirt route filly - I had a hard time finding a race for her near where she is. Tonight she's in a 20K NW3, ten horse field, many look better.

Love Bites - 3-year-old dirt sprint filly - Another poor performer, running in a 15K NW2, ten horse field. 10 29

Matter of Trust - 3-year-old dirt route gelding - He's in a 20K NW3 and a full field, the odds are stacked against him here. 12 9

Moving Pictures - 2-year-old turf route colt - Second start, first at a route. Running in a 12K NW2, four horse field. 3 50

Nuclear - 4-year-old dirt route gelding - DTD - Running in a sponsored 125K Grade 3 stakes, five horse field, at least one huge monster. He's also the youngest in the field. 4 61

Perfect Puzzle - 4-year-old chase gelding - First start for me, running in a 20K allowance, eleven horse field. 6 74

Perfectly Magical - 4-year-old chase filly - Running in a 12K MSW, five horse field. Still trying to see what distance she likes. 3 61

Personal Demon - 3-year-old dirt mile gelding - Running in a sponsored 25K NW5, four horse field. 4 53

Point Royale - 4-year-old chase gelding - In a 10K NW4, five horse field, only one horse has three wins. 5 51

Preempt - 2-year-old dirt sprint gelding - He's in a 15K MSW, ten horse field, he has a chance of hitting the board if not winning. (I hope) 5 44

Sambora - 2-year-old AW route filly - Second start, first on AW in a 15K allowance, five horse field. 2 50

Sancta Basilica - 3-year-old turf route filly - Second start for me. She's in a 25K NW2 claimer, eleven horse field and a purse of 15K. 10 6

Shroom - 3-year-old dirt route filly - Struggling maiden in a 15K MSW, six horse field. 2 54

Silent Cry - 3-year-old turf sprint gelding - Dropping him back to a sprint from a mile to see if it helps at all. 12K MSW, three horse field, at least he'll make some money. 2 46

Silent Melody - 4-year-old chase gelding - He's in a 15K MSW, six horse field.

Strange Meeting - 3-year-old dirt sprint filly - Bringing her back from a mile to a sprint to see if she does any better. 15K MSW, four horse field. There's a chance she might make it as a chaser next year. 4 41

Sunday Minx - 6-year-old chase mare - In a 10K NW4, five horse field, trying her at the longest distance. 5 56

Texas Smile - 2-year-old dirt route colt - First start for me, running in a 32K maiden claimer with a full field and a purse of 12K. 12 1

Thirdstarinthecrux - 4-year-old chase filly - Hasn't done too well chasing yet, trying a new longer distance tonight in a 10K MSW, five horse field. 2 63

Tiger Rag - 4-year-old dirt route filly - She's running in a 25K NW2 claimer, ten horse field, she might have a shot at getting a check. 4 48

To the Stars - 5-year-old chase mare - Running in a 12K allowance, five horse field, this is a little longer than she is used to. 2 81

Visage - 3-year-old dirt route filly - Running in a 50K listed stakes, five horse field. This is at a marathon distance, not sure how she'll take to it. 3 60

Wild Ginger - 3-year-old dirt sprint filly - In a 20K MSW, six horse field, not sure if she'll earn anything or not. 5 41
