Friday Year 26 Week 6 01/15/10

*I have 29 running tonight, except for the fillers I don't really know what to expect. Lots of fillies running tonight, that's for sure.

And She Was - 3-year-old turf filly - Steady filler in a 25K sponsored NW2, five horse field. One winner and four fillers in the field - hard to say how they'll fall at the end. 3 49

Autochthoe - 3-year-old turf filly - She's running in a Grade 3 100K stakes, five horse field, two winners, three maidens. 4 43

Capitulation - 4-year-old turf route filly - I don't remember entering her in this race and should have paid better attention as she just raced last Friday. Hope she comes through okay. I'll have to put something in her notes to rest her extra weeks if she comes through this in one piece. She's running in a 50K sponsored, restricted stakes, four horse field. 3 48

Chickesaw - 3-year-old dirt route filly - She's running in a 200K Grade 1 stakes, five horse field, it's a pretty sure bet she'll come in last. She's not one I usually use as a filler but the money was too good in this race. 5 47

Comebackhome - 3-year-old dirt route filly - Recent $100 purchase, first start for me, this is her first route race too. She's running in a 20K MSW, seven horse field. Not really sure if she'll like the added distance or not but figured it was worth a shot.

Crystal Moonlight - 2-year-old turf filly - First start. Recent 2K purchase, I have a feeling she'll become a filler so she is in a 12K NW3, five horse field. Three are one time winners, she the only one with no starts. 5 38

Dalensaul - 2-year-old turf sprint gelding - Filler running in a 75K stakes, five horse field, two are one time winners, the rest are maidens. 5 39

Derby Hat - 4-year-old dirt route filly - Running in a 20K NW2, seven horse field, they're all one time winners so not sure how she'll do. 4 53

Disbelieving - 3-year-old dirt mile colt - Recent 2K purchase, he's been running in routes, this is his first start at a mile, also his first start for me. He's in a 20K MSW, seven horse field. 7 33

He Rules - 4-year-old dirt sprint gelding - He's running in a mile 5K sponsored, restricted claimer, three horse field and a purse of 10K, running him back a little sooner than I would usually but the small field is what fillers are all about. 2 40

Hold Your Horses - 2-year-old dirt mile colt - Except that I'm starting him out at 7F in a 15K allowance, five horse field, he's the only first time starter. His works weren't great, just okay, so I thought I'd try him out a little shorter. 5 45

Holiday Road - 4-year-old dirt route filly - $10 purchase. Running in a 20K MSW, nine horse field. She made over 1K in her last race so has at least paid for herself pretty well. Decided to see what she does in a larger field. 3 50

Isaidineedsomspace - 2-year-old dirt sprint filly - Second start, won first out with a 62, I entered her in this 100K listed stakes as a filler, but as happens sometimes, a sixth horse showed up. All but one horse is a one time winner, all but the maiden have better speed figures so not sure if he'll make any money tonight or not. 4 54

Joyful Bliss - 3-year-old turf filly - Filler running in a 25K MSW in Japan, five horse field. They're all struggling maidens so no idea how it will play out. 5 31

Lapis Lazuli - 4-year-old turf filly - Second start for me, finished second in her first time out in my stable. She's running in a 15K MSW, ten horse field, not expecting too much here at all. 5 37

Lazy Eye - 4-year-old dirt gelding - $10 purchase that has earning nothing in his first two starts for me. Tonight he's in a 12K MSW, five horse field. 3 45

Little Bit - 3-year-old mixed up filly - Really a filler she just doesn't seem to like any surface, tonight she's trying turf for the first time, 20K MSW, five horse field. 5 20

Making Money - turf mile gelding - He's running in a 40K allowance, eleven horse field. He's the second leading money maker but he's also the second oldest in the field. This is his first race for this year. 8 41

Midnightdancer - 4-year-old dirt route gelding - Second start for me, running in a 15K MSW, four horse field. 1 59

Night Race - 3-year-old dirt sprint filly - I sponsored a 25K NW2 for her, I rarely sponsor TB races, assuming that if they don't do well in other races odds are they are only filler quality. This horse has some nice breeding, wings, plus when she broke her maiden she got a 67 SF but hasn't done anything in her next two races. Ten horse field. 1 66

Norm - 2-year-old dirt colt - Should eventually be a miler, this is his second start, won first out in a NW2 (57), tonight he's in a 100K listed stakes, five horse field. Only one maiden here and one two time winner. 3 51

Rampant Sands - 3-year-old dirt filly - First start for me, recent 1K purchase. She's running in a 150K Grade 2 stakes, five horse field. Three winners and another filler type. 4 39

Savage Run - 2-year-old dirt sprint colt - Second start, came in third first time out in a claimer (54), tonight he's in 12K NW3, six horse field. Three winners, one first time starter. 4 48

Summer Pleasure - 4-year-old turf filly - One of my better fillers running in a 100K Grade 3 stakes, five horse field. All winners except for one obvious maiden filler. She's outclassed here but will still bring home a check. 4 45

The Treasure Hunt - 3-year-old turf filly - She's running in a 20K allowance, five horse field, she's the only maiden. 4 46

Tiger Rag - 4-year-old dirt route filly - A bit of an enigma, running in a 15K NW2, full field. Hard to tell, all of these horses are struggling. 5 47

Trundle - 2-year-old dirt sprint filly - Second start, won first out in a maiden claimer (63). Tonight she's in a 12K NW2, six horse field. 3 52

War Tribute - 4-year-old dirt filly - First start for me, running in a 25K sponsored allowance, four horse field. 4 41

Wild Ginger - 3-year-old filly - Regular filler running in a sponsored 100K listed stakes, five horse field. 5 33

Earnings for the night - $95,210 (includes breeder awards for two homebreds I sold last year)
