Wednesday Year 26 Week 4 12/30/09

Mixed breed racing night and I have 28 running which is a heck of a lot for me. So many are due for a race that I felt I had to put them in or give them a work out. Between a race and a workout I'll usually always choose the race. Purses are still pretty poor for the mixers.

Carry Me - 3-year-old Appy filly - Fairly consistent but unspectacular filly running in a 10K NW2, seven horse field, she might get up for a check. 1 59

Colors of the Day - 3-year-old Paint filly - CAH - This is her first start, running in a 125K Grade 3 stakes, four horse field. The worse she can do is fourth. 3 61

Colour of Love - 5-year-old Paint gelding - Recently gelded, he's only ever run at 870 so I'm trying him at a sprint tonight to see how he does. Running in a sponsored 25K NW2, ten horse field. I doubt he'll do well at this new distance. 4 63

Combat Rock - 6-year-old Arabian horse - Running him back a little sooner than I would have liked but races for older horses dwindle as the year goes on. He vetted at not even a little bit tired so he should run without injury anyway. He's running in a 50K listed stakes with a full field, at least one in the field has beaten him before. This will be a tough race, I'm hoping he gets up for a least something but not feeling that confident. I'm taking a chance and adding a tongue tie for tonights race as he seems to always drop out a bit in the final furlong. 9 66

Dream Eater - 5-year-old Arabian mare - CAH - Not a very good racer but definitely due for a race. Running in a 10K NW3, seven horse field, No expectations here. 4 57

Dusty Digger - 4-year-old Appy gelding - Unimpressive racer running in a 5K sponsored restricted claimer with a 10K purse, four horse field. He'll probably be lucky to come in fourth. 3 46

Emotions in Motion - 3-year-old trot filly - A winged one that hasn't impressed. Running in a 12K MSW, five horse field. No idea. 3 51

Faiza - 7-year-old Arabian mare - I sponsored a 100K listed stakes for her at a new distance, eight horse field. I'm hoping she likes the shorter distance as well as the long. There are definitely some to challenge her in here, she's the oldest in the field besides. 2 73

Flash of Fire - 3-year-old trot colt - He should be better than he has shown, racing in a 100K listed stakes, five horse field, two are monsters. 3 65

Fuel to the Fire - 4-year-old Arabian gelding - Second start for me, running in a 10K MSW, three horse field, new distance for him. 1 53

Happy Days Again - 3-year-old trot filly - Running in a 25K NW2, eleven horse field, probably over her head but she needed a race. 3 62

Hotter Than Mojave - 3-year-old Appy colt - Running in a 55K listed stakes, six horse field, He has a chance to get a check. 1 65

I Like to Jog - 6-year-old trot gelding - Fairly consistent older trotter running in a 15K NW5, nine horse field, He has a slim chance of bringing home a check but I'm not counting on it. 6 59

I Play Rough - 2-year-old QH filly - First start for this gift filly running in a 12K MSW, six horse field with mostly first time starters. 3 59

Jada - 5-year-old Arabian mare - CAH - Still a maiden after nine starts, running tonight in a 50K listed stakes, originally as a filler but others entered and I decided to let her run since she needs a race. Seven horse field. 6 58

Just Another Smile - 4-year-old Pace filly - CAH - My only racing pacer running in a 12K NW2, nine horse field. 8 55

Justin Credible - 3-year-old QH gelding - I sponsored a 100K restricted listed stakes for him for no real reason except there wasn't anything else that really suited him. I originally bought him for 5K off the sales page when his original owner gave up on him without trying him at all of the distances. He's done pretty well for me, winning three times. This is a small three horse field and everyone should go home happy. 2 61

Kasida - 6-year-old Arabian mare - Consistent old girl that I was going to retire last year but decided to give her another year of racing. Running in a 10K allowance, six horse field, she's the oldest in the field but still has a chance to earn something. 1 68

Mayday - 3-year-old Appy filly - Bought to be a filler and fills that role pretty well. Running in a 10K MSW, five horse field. 3 49

Mooby - 4-year-old Appy gelding - Another filler running in a 10K MSW, five horse field, probably not breaking his maiden tonight. 3 50

Nitey - 4-year-old Appy gelding - Second start for me, did better than expected the first time I ran him breaking his maiden with a 66 SF. Tonight he's in a 50K listed stakes, eleven horse field, no idea if he'll have a strong showing or not. 8 62

Oxiclean - 4-year-old Appy gelding - Broke his maiden last out, usually used as a filler but he needed a race and so he's running in a 10K allowance with a full field. Not expecting much out of him here. 11 55

Quickerthanfire - 3-year-old QH gelding - Filler running in a 25K sponsored allowance, four horse field. 4 39

Sir Prize - 4-year-old Paint gelding - Fairly consistent, usually a filler, running in a 25K sponsored NW3, four horse field. 3 58

Spirit Road - 4-year-old Appy colt - Running in a 50K listed stakes over a muddy track with a full field. There really was nowhere else to put him and he needed the race. Not really expecting much here. 6 66

Treasure Ransom - 3-year-old Paint gelding - Five starts and still a maiden, running in a sponsored allowance, three horse field, not expecting him to break his maiden tonight. 3 36

Watson's Folly - 2-year-old QH filly - Gift filly running for the first time in a 12K MSW, ten horse field. 9 47

Zhentico - 4-year-old Appy gelding - First start for me, running in a 10K allowance with a full field at a new distance. No idea but not expecting anything. 10 50

Monday Year 26 Week 4 12/28/09

Hard to believe that we're already up to week 4! In another week or so we'll be able to start working out our yearlings if we so desire. Ihave 29 running tonight, a lot of variety with chasers, 2-year-olds and of course, lots of fillers.

A Friend of Mine - 3-year-old colt - Lightly raced, bred to be a dirt router but didn't hit the board in his first two starts, one at a mile another at a short route. Had a decent AW work and one mile AW race, didn't hit the board but still bought home a check. Trying him at an AW route tonight. 12K MSW, nine horse field. 4 47

Acamas - 5-year-old chase gelding - He's hit the board only twice in six outings chasing, tonight he's in a 10K starter allowance with two others. 3 56

Aspen Midnight - 4-year-old chase filly - This is her chasing debut, she's running in a sponsored 25K MSW, eight horse field, mostly first time starters. 4 63

Bilk - 5-year-old chase mare - This is her third start at chasing, she has a 2nd and 3rd place finish in her two previous starts. She's running in a 15K MSW, four horse field, two of the others are AJ horses. 2 58

Cherry Tree Lane - 2-year-old turf sprint filly - Just bought her off of the sales page for 1K, she had one start in Week 1 with a 5th place finish. I bought her to fill this race, 50K listed stakes, five horse field, only one is a winner, another is a first time starter. 5 47

Chickesaw - 3-year-old filly - Lightly raced, has good works and got the wings comment but has been disappointing thus far. Broke her maiden last out at the end of the year with a 64 SF and won by over four lengths. Tonight she's running in a 100K Grade 3, five horse field, the other four look to be much better. 3 58

Dalesaul - 2-year-old turf sprint gelding - CAH - Another I just picked up off of the sales page for 1K to help fill this race. He has one start from week 1, came in 7th. Running in a 50K NW2 claimer, five horse field, two are winners, two are first time starters. 3 49

Eris - 7-year-old chase mare - She has six OTB finishes in eleven chasing starts. This is her first start for this year, running in a 15K allowance, four horse field, there's at least one better. 3 64

Expedite - 4-year-old dirt sprint gelding - Steward-bred - This is his first start this year, running in a 15K NW3, eleven horse field, some good ones in here. Hoping he can be in the mix at the end, but not really expecting it. 4 56

Face Value - 3-year-old turf gelding - One of my regular fillers, running in a 100K Grade 3 stakes, five horse field, only two are winners in this field. Running at a route for the first time, he was bred to be a miler so if he gets better than fifth I'll be pleasantly surprised. 5 35

Fort - 5-year-old chasing mare - Originally bought for 100K as a filler. This is only her second start chasing, has a fourth in her first start. She's running in a 100K Grade 3 at Hurdle Park, five horse field. She's the only maiden in the field. 4 56

Holiday Road - 4-year-old filly - One of the $10 horses I bought as a filler. Running in a 25K sponsored MSW, four horse field. This is her first start on AW. 4 38

I'm Lovin It - 5-year-old dirt sprint gelding - CAH - Another $10 horse that I picked up, run at all the wrong distances and surfaces, second start for me. Won first time out at the right distance/surface, running in a restricted 15K NW3, eleven horse field, he's the most lightly raced in the field with the least amount of earnings so I'm not sure how he'll do. 5 50

Icarus Flight - 4-year-old dirt filly - A regular filler for dirt routes, cutting her back to a mile tonight, 25K sponsored NW4, four horse field, only one has won three races. 4 49

Impala - 3-year-old filly - A regular filler bred for turf running in a 10K dirt MSW that took on more horses after I entered her, since it's for such a small amount of money I just decided to let her run. Eight horse field, all are filler material, not expecting anything here. 8 16

Journey's End - 5-year-old dirt mile gelding - $10 sales page horse, first start for me, running in a 15K restricted MSW, five horse field, the others look better. 3 46

Lasting Bond - 3-year-old dirt filly - Filler running in a 40K claimer, 12K purse, six horse field, all are filler-type maidens but this may be a little too long for her to bring in a check. 6 19

Little Bit - 3-year-old filly - Filler running in a 32K NW2 claimer, 15K purse, four horse field, she's the only maiden, first time at a route. 4 40

Loki First - 4-year-old dirt route filly - Running in a 15K MSW, nine horse field, she looks like she has a chance to be in the top five. 5 41

Matter of Trust - 3-year-old dirt gelding - Running in a 15K allowance, six horse field, won't be surprised if he comes in last. 6 34

Midnightdancer - 4-year-old dirt route gelding - CAH - First start for me, running in a 50K claimer, 12K purse, very long route, six horse field, no idea how he'll do here. 5 50

Nautic Tale - 3-year-old gelding - I put him in here just to split the race so I'm not expecting much since he's usually only good for a filler. 15K MSW, nine horse field. He has the most earnings but that really means nothing in this case. 9 23

Norm - 2-year-old dirt colt - First start. Cheap auction horse bought to be a filler, running in a 50K NW2 claimer, 12K purse, five horse field, only one winner in the field and one other first time starter. 1 57

Orlando - 5-year-old chase gelding - Seven starts chasing, four OTB finishes but still a maiden. Running tonight in a 15K MSW, four horse field. There's a slim chance he breaks his maiden. 3 58

Serenity Prevails - 3-year-old dirt filly - Lightly raced filler that I would have scratched if I had realized that another horse was going to enter at the last minute, but that's one of the hazards of dealing with fillers. This race is a little long for her breeding. 50K listed stakes, six horse field. 6 23

Silent Melody - 4-year-old chase gelding - First start at chasing, running in a 20K MSW, five horse field, two others are first time starters. 2 61

Strange Meeting - 3-year-old dirt filly - Filler running in a 100K Grade 3, five horse field. She has one OTB finish in four starts. 4 45

To The Stars - 5-year-old chase mare - First start this year, three OTB finishes in four starts, won last out in a claimer with an 85. Tonight she's in a 10K starter allowance, three horse field. 1 83

You Need Your Head - 3-year-old turf route colt - First start for the year, lightly raced at 2. Has hit the board in his three previous starts, including being stakes placed last out. Running in a 25K NW3, ten horse field, none have won more than once, there's a chance he's in the top five at the end. 7 35

Earnings for the night - $61,430

Friday Year 26 Week 3 12/25/09

Wasn't able to find time yesterday to get on the SIM so what I have is what I put in on Wednesday night. I seem to be behind on everything this week! 24 running tonight.

Big Country Fun - 4-year-old dirt gelding - Filler running in a 15K MSW, three horse field. 2 50

Capitulation - 4-year-old turf filly - First start for me, running her in a route but she may be a miler. Running in a sponsored 25K NW2, four horse field. 3 54

Court Vision - 7-year-old turf gelding - Second start for me, running in a 15K NW3, five horse field. 5 33

Derby Hat - 4-year-old dirt route filly - This is her third start for me, she broke her maiden and has been stakes placed (3rd) in her two previous starts. Tonight she's running in a 50K sponsored stakes, four horse field. Probably outclassed here.

4 49

Dionysia - 4-year-old filly - She should be a turf router but hasn't done too well, she's a regular filler now. She's running in a restricted 125K stakes, four horse field.

4 42

Dungeon Diva - 3-year-old dirt route filly - First start for me, running in a 100K Grade 3 stakes, five horse field. She's the only maiden. This is her first route race.
5 45

Forgotten Dynasty - 4-year-old dirt route filly - Filler running in a 150K restricted stakes, five horse field with one huge monster and three pretty good horses. 5 39

Golden Warrior - 3-year-old dirt route filly - She's running in a sponsored 200K Grade 1 stakes, four horse field. There's one other maiden in this field and two that have won twice. 3 55

Grateful Heart - 2-year-old dirt sprint filly - Steward-bred, came in second in her first outing (67). Running her back a little sooner than I would like but the vet said either work her or race her, she's ready. This 125K listed stakes is a furlong longer than her first and may be more to her liking. Four horse field, the other three are all steward-breds making their first starts. Two of them have better work out times.

3 62

Lapis Lazuli - 4-year-old turf mile filly - First start for me, she's running in a 25K sponsored NW3, three horse field. 2 52

Little Deuce Coupe - 2-year-old dirt mile filly - First start, both her parents did well at sprints as 2-year-olds so I thought I'd give her a try. She's running in a 75K listed stakes over a sloppy track, five horse field. Two winners in this field, the others are all first time starters. 4 56

Love Bites - 3-year-old dirt sprint filly - Running in a 100K sponsored listed stakes, five horse field. Probably outclassed. 5 44

Midevil - 4-year-old turf filly - Running in a Grade 3 100K stakes, four horse field, since this girl is really a sprinter and this is a route, I expect a last place finish.
4 28

Mighty Victory - 3-year-old dirt filly - She's running in a 25K claimer, 10K purse, ten horse field. 8 31

Night Melodies - 2-year-old turf sprinter - First start. Well bred but only worked out at route distances for some reason so I got her pretty cheap. Running in a 100K listed stakes, five horse field, all but one are first time starters. Two others have better 2F works. 4 51

Not Once But Twice - 4-year-old dirt sprint filly - Running in a 100K, NW4, sponsored, restricted claimer, purse is 10K, three horse field. 3 48

Sad Eyes - 3-year-old dirt sprint filly - Filler running in a 75K listed stakes, five horse field. 5 43

Silent Auction - 3-year-old turf mile colt - First start for me, he's been run at a route, I think he might like a mile. He's running in a 40K listed stakes, five horse field. 5 48

Stepping Out - 4-year-old turf route gelding - Running in a 25K sponsored NW2, three horse field, one is an AJ horse. 1 60

Swamper - 5-year-old dirt route mare - $10 horse that won her first start for me (66), this is her second time running for me in a 12K starter allowance, four horse field. 1 66

Tuxedo Mask - 3-year-old dirt route gelding - First start for me, running in a Grade 2 150K stakes, six horse field. I have a feeling he's coming in last, probably would have scratched him yesterday if I had gotten online. 6 26

We Started Nothing - 4-year-old turf filly - Second start for me, trying her at a sprint, sponsored 25K starter allowance, three horse field. 2 49

What A Goal - 4-year-old turf sprint gelding - First start for me, running in a 22K MSW, full field. No idea how he'll do here. Had a nice 2F workout but this is his first race at his preferred distance and surface. 1 64

Yawn - 4-year-old dirt route colt - First start for me, well-bred but an apparent underachiever. His workouts weren't bad, I picked him up cheap for 1K. I think he may like long routes and they aren't available yet. Running in a 100K Grade 3, five horse field with one other maiden. 4 45

Earnings for the night - $130,150 (includes breeder award)

Wednesday Year 26 Week 3

Mixed breed racing night, 15 running.

Amir - 5-year-old Arabian horse - He's running tonight in a 25K NW3, five horse field, I have no idea how he'll finish. Sometimes he surprises me and does really well, sometimes not so much. Trying him without blinkers tonight. 2 64

C. E. Hashim - 3-year-old Arabian gelding - CAH - I bought him for 1K, he's never raced. He's running in a 10K NW2, he's the only entrant. Um....easy win. 1 43

Cracklin Rosie - 3-year-old QH filly - She's running in a 50K listed stakes, five horse field. This is a new distance for her but only a little longer than she prefers. There's at least two others that are probably faster. 5 46

Cresceus - 6-year-old trot gelding - I'm mainly racing him tonight just to get a race in him. He hasn't raced since week 13 of last year and needs the exercise. He's running in a 12K NW2, eleven horse field. I don't expect him to earn anything tonight, but it would be a nice surprise if he gets up for something. 2 56

Docs Buck'n Baby - 3-year-old trot filly - She's running in a 10K NW2, 10K purse, two horse field. 2 51

Doo a Little Favor - 2-year-old QH filly - She was just gifted to me a little while ago. This is her first start, She's running in a 10K NW2, five horse field. No idea. 3 56

Dream Trail - 3-year-old trot gelding - Running in a 15K NW3, four horse field. There's at least one good horse in this field. 4 49

Dreamkeeper - 3-year-old trot filly - She's also running in a 15K NW3, two horse field. The other horse is a first time runner CAH. The worse she gets is second.

2 54

Flash Gordon - 3-year-old QH gelding - First start for me, picked him up off the sales page for $1. Running in a 10K NW3, five horse field. I think he'll be making that dollar back. 4 54

Heart of the Night - 4-year-old trot filly - One of my winged trotters that hasn't broken her maiden in eleven starts. I like her though. I'm starting to think she might like longer breaks, tonight I'll find out. She's had a three week break since her last race. She's running in a 15K MSW, five horse field. 4 45

Likes Kids - 3-year-old Appy gelding - Second start for me, running in a 50K listed stakes, five horse field. There are at least three really good horses in this field. 5 56

Lonesome Fugitive - 4-year-old trot colt - He's running in a 15K NW4, full field. He's had four weeks off, so I felt he really needed a race. I'm hoping he'll be in the mix at the end but I'm not expecting it. I think he's a little over his head here. 2 61

Puzzle Book - 4-year-old Appy gelding - First start for me, another one I got for $1. Running in a 10K MSW, five horse field. I doubt he's breakingt his maiden tonight.

4 38

Rare Lil Maverick - 4-year-old Paint filly - A regular filler, running in a 25K sponsored NW2, four horse field. She's the only maiden in the field so not expecting much. 4 10

Wrapped in White - 4-year-old Paint gelding - First start for me, running in a 10K sponsored NW2 claimer, 10K purse, eight horse field. I was going to scratch him when more than four other horses entered but decided to just go with it and let him run. 8 22

Earnings for the night - $30,190

Monday Year 26 Week 3

I have 23 running tonight. I think the majority of them are fillers, or at least they were fillers as of bedtime last night. A lot of all weather experiments tonight.

I spent part of the weekend finally writing the Hall of Fame article for Black Condor. I have it finished (finally!) but would like to incorporate some things into it that Laura Ferguson just sent to me. Hope to be able to turn it in tonight or tomorrow at the latest.

Aces High - 6-year-old chase gelding - He's done pretty well since he started chasing at the beginning of last year with five OTB finishes. I don't usually run him as a filler but there wasn't a lot out there at his perferred distance. Tonight he's running in a 12K allowance, four horse field. 3 80

Adonais - 3-year-old AW filly - Not really sure what distance she might like on AW, she was bred to be a turf miler but really hasn't had the speed figures to show much. So I'm trying her on AW in a long sprint. She's probably destined to become a filler. 12K NW2, four horse field. 4 36

Earth to Mars - 7-year-old dirt sprint gelding - He's become one of my regular fillers. Originally bought for 1K thinking he might make it as a chaser. I just kept him and use him to fill races for older guys. He's running in a 15K MSW, five horse field.

5 33

Fortymile - 3-year-old dirt route filly - Second start for me, running in a 10K NW2, five horse field. 5 33

Gremlin - 4-year-old AW gelding - This guy is one of my slowest and least talented horses so is a good filler. First start for him on AW. 32K maiden claimer, purse is 12K, five horse field. 3 38

I Eat Cannibals - 3-year-old dirt filly - Another really untalented horse but will be a decent filler. Running in a 20K allowance, five horse field. 3 39

Isaidineedsomspace - 2-year-old dirt sprint filly - First start, 5K auction purchase, average works, running in a 25K maiden claimer, 15K purse, five horse field. 1 62

Kariya's Eyes - 3-year-old turf filly - Second start for me, running in a 15K NW3, five horse field. 4 42

Kindness - 3-year-old AW filly - First start on AW, she's becoming a regular filler for me. Tonight she's in a 12K NW2, five horse field. 5 22

Magnet X - 4-year-old dirt route filly - First start for me, $10 purchase, bred to be a router she has been running as a miler so I thought I'd try her at a route - actually a very long route. Probably too long for her, but it's a small field. Sponsored 25K NW3, five horse field. 3 55

Night Race - 3-year-old turf sprint filly - Nice works but hasn't lived up to her potential at this point. Tonight she's running in a 75K listed stakes, six horse field. I'm hoping she can get up for a piece of it but not counting on it. 4 51

Nuclear - 4-year-old dirt route colt - Running in a 75K listed stakes, five horse field. He's the youngest horse in the field. 5 50

Perfect Hero - 4-year-old AW gelding - First start on AW, normally a turf sprinter that has never yet brought home a check. Thought I would try him on AW and stretch him out a little. Running in a 125K Grade 3 sponsored stakes, four horse field. 4 30

Pumpkin Patch - 3-year-old AW mile filly - Second start for me, first start at AW, she had a fairly decent AW workout. 12K MSW, eleven horse field. 3 48

Rose Manor - 5-year-old chase mare - Hasn't been off the board in her three chase starts, 92 speed figure in her one win chasing, still fiddling around trying to figure out her preferred distance. Tonight she's in a 65K listed stakes, seven horse field, hoping she can be in the mix at the end. 4 88

Savage Run - 2-year-old dirt sprint colt - First start, average works, running in a 25K claimer over a muddy field, 12K purse, five horse field. 3 54

Shorebird - 4-year-old dirt filly - Becoming a regular filler of mine, unfortunately the race she is in acquired a sixth horse, hopefully she can still stick her nose out to make a little money. 20K MSW, six horse field. 5 36

So It Goes - 3-year-old turf gelding - Another that is becoming a regular filler, running in a sponsored NW3 10K claimer, 10K purse, five horse field. 2 54

Speed of Darkness - 3-year-old dirt sprint filly - She's in the same race as I Eat Cannibals, both in as fillers, in fact four of the five horses in this race are fillers. 20K allowance, five horse field. 5 8

There You Are - 2-year-old dirt sprint colt - First start, average works, running in a MSW, five horse field. 4 46

Thirdstarinthecrux - 4-year-old chase filly - First start chasing, second start for me. She's running in a 50K Grade 3 stakes, seven horse field. I'm not expecting much from her here, mainly just wanted to race her so I can ship her somewhere with easier fields. 6 53

Trundle - 2-year-old dirt sprint filly - First start, average works, running in a 25K maiden claimer, 10K purse, five horse field. 1 63

Twice Raised - 2-year-old dirt sprint filly - First start, steward-bred, decent works, running in a 12K MSW, six horse field. There's at least one with better works. 3 58

Earnings for the night - $50,980 (Includes breeder awards)

Friday Year 26 Week 2

Only 16 runners tonight, not too many fillers, either. Also, only one unimpressive 2-year-old debuting tonight.

Broado - 4-year-old turf route filly - First start for me, and probably not going to be a good one. She's running in a 100K Grade 3 stakes, nine horse field. I put her in here because there were no other races for horses her age, at a long route in Europe. I'm not expecting much from her in this race. She tells me she wants to just hide in her stall today and I don't blame her! I don't know what I was really thinking by putting her in here. 9 25

Epic Farewell - 4-year-old dirt route colt - Fairly consistent steward-bred, running in a 20K allowance, eleven horse field. With any luck he'll get up for a piece of the purse. 9 28

Folk - 3-year-old dirt mile filly - One of my better fillers, running in a 125K Grade 3 stakes, five horse field. She has a good chance of doing better than fifth. 4 48

Galena - 5-year-old dirt sprint mare - Second start for me, came in third last out as a filler. Running in a MSW, two horse field. 2 48

Glorious Eyes - 3-year-old turf route filly - First time at a route. Running in a 100K Grade 3 stakes, five horse field. 5 40

Guns and Daggers - 3-year-old dirt route filly - She has one win in three starts, and she got a 65 SF in that win. Tonight she's running in a slightly longer route, 100K listed stakes, six horse field. I'm hoping she comes in better than last. 4 51

I Do What I Want - 3-year-old dirt route filly - This is her third start, she has one third and one fifth place finish. Tonight she's in a 20K MSW, seven horse field. No idea how she'll do. 4 52

Miss You Much - 4-year-old filler filly - Running tonight in a sponsored, restricted 100K claimer with a 10K purse, four horse field. 3 27

Mississippi River - 4-year-old dirt route filly - Bought her as a filler for a stakes race and she won it, though her SF was not very impressive. Tonight she's 12K classified allowance, three horse field. 3 49

Nitro Nightmare - 3-year-old dirt sprint filly - First start for me, running in a 15K allowance, seven horse field. Not sure if she'll do well or not. 4 53

Perfectly Magical - 4-year-old turf mile filly - Consistent filler, running in a 25K NW4, four horse field. 3 45

Pillar Point - 2-year-old dirt sprint gelding - $10 purchase, first start. Running in a 25K maiden claimer, 15K purse, five horse field. 5 23

Quiet Please - 4-year-old dirt sprint filly - Another one of my regular fillers, running in a sponsored restricted 25K NW5, three horse field. 1 65

Scotland Winds - 3-year-old turf mile filly - Seconde start for me, came in first in a Grade 3 stakes last out, tonight she's in a 17K allowance, eleven horse field. Hope she gets up for at least a piece of it at the end. 4 55

Summer Pleasure - 4-year-old turf route filly - Yet another of my regular fillers running in a sponsored, restricted NW4, four horse field. 3 51

Violation - 5-year-old dirt route gelding - Running in a 12K NW2 tonight, ten horse field. 3 55

Wednesday Year 26 Week 2

Mixed breed racing night, 17 running.

Canyon Creek - 4-year-old Appy gelding - $10 purchase running in a 10K MSW, three horse field. Has one third in seven starts and gallops unimpressive so not expecting much but he's going to earn something anyway. This is his first start for me. 3 8

Cartecay - 3-year-old Appy gelding - He's become one of my regular mixer fillers. He's running in a 10K allowance, four horse field. 3 43

Combat Rock - 6-year-old Arabian sprint horse - I sponsored a small 75K stakes for him at his preferred distance, nine other horse showed up so don't know how he'll do. I hope he's as good as I would like him to be but won't be surprised if he isn't. There's one in particular that I think might give him a lot of trouble. He vetted sharp but I still think I should have given him one more week off. 1 70

Cuts Like A Knife - 4-year-old QH colt - My frustrating, inconsistent QH. I've pretty much given up on him and decided to just enter him in stakes and hope that he manages to get up for a piece of the purse every once in a while. Tonight he's running in a 50K stakes, six horse field. It's at the longest distance which I tried him at once before and he didn't do well. I'll be happy if he gets anywhere close to making some money. Vet says it's the perfect time for a race for him. I hope he was listening. 6 52

Dashing Rye - 4-year-old QH gelding - Another one of my fillers running in a 25K NW3, five horse field. 5 34

Double Change - 4-year-old Arabian gelding - Unimpressive galloper, running in a 50K sponsored stakes, five horse field. 4 43

Drakar - 3-year-old trot gelding - First start for me, $100 purchase. Bought him to be a filler. He's running in a 12K MSW, three horse field. 3 36

Malika Badiya - 5-year-old Arabian mare - She's running in a 25K Nw4, six horse field, I'm hoping she can get up for a piece of the purse. 5 50

Marengo - 4-year-old Arabian colt - I still can't quite figure out what his favorite distance is. Tonight he's running in a 10K allowance with a full field that looks pretty competitive. I have no idea how he'll do. 5 61

Money and Music - 3-year-old trot colt - He's running in a 50K stakes tonight, eight horse field. I'd really like him to do well but there are quite a few monsters in here. He's vetting as sharp and ready to go. 7 62

Nitey - 4-year-old Appy gelding - $10 purchase that I bought as a filler. He galloped with wings so I thought I would try him at a new distance and see if he does any better. This is his first start for me. Running in a 10K MSW, six horse field. 1 66

Painter's Palette - 3-year-old Paint filly - CAH - This is her first start, no workouts, I have no idea if she is any good or not. Running in a 10K MSW, two horse field.
1 49

The Cutting Edge - 2-year-old QH colt - My first and only homebred QH for this year. Running in a 10K MSW, ten horse field. I don't think this is going to be his best distance but might as well try him out now. 6 55

Treasure Ransom - 3-year-old Paint colt - First start for me, running in a 10K MSW, two horse field. 2 33

Earnings for the night - $58,500 (includes breeder awards)
